How Do We
Know Spiritual Growth
Is Taking Place In Our Lives?
This question has been asked by many. It is something that concerns, or should, every Christian. There are some indictors we can have if we allow the Word of God to dwell richly in our lives:
1. Our speech is no longer flavored with improper words.
2. We show concern for others by helping them in their plight and we don't have to be asked.
3. We begin speaking to others about the destiny of their souls with a sense of urgency in our hearts.
4. We attend all services of the church with a cheerful heart.
5. We are consistently studying the Bible to see what God has to say to us and not just to refute someone and prove a point.
6. We give in a liberal manner and not after all other expenses are taken care of.
7. Our actions are consistent in all phases of our lives and those actions reflect Christ.
8. We put away improper habits which harm our bodies and make others stumble.
9. We make decisions in accordance with God's Word when we are brought into conflict with this world.
10. We actively are choosing not to sin.
11. We show love toward one another and not pick at petty things.
12. We begin being a willing participant in the work of the church not matter how menial.
