Class Yourself
A blacksmith makes $5.00 worth of iron into horseshoes and gets $10.00 for them. A cutler makes the same amount of iron into knives and gets $200.00. A machinist makes the same amount of iron into needles and gets $6,800.00. The watchmaker takes a like amount and makes it into mainsprings and gets $200,000.00 or into hairsprings and gets $2,000,000.00.
So it is with life and the opportunities that are given to each one of us. One person takes his time and talents and combines them to advance his earthly interests alone. Another takes the same time and talent and, through wisdom and counsel of God's Word, shapes and molds his life for time and eternity.
One set of parents will bring children into the world and give no thought at all to the eternal destiny of their children. They simply allow them to grow bigger with not higher aim to their existence than to make money and spend money in the pursuit of fleshly satisfaction. Another set of parents will bring children into the world and immediately set about to point them toward Almighty God. In doing so, they do the best thing that parents can do for their precious children.
